We visited our friends over at Archbold Logistics during the summer term. Alan, Julie and everyone at Archbold’s put together a great day which the learners thoroughly enjoyed. After having breakfast at the Albany Base, we made our way over to Archbold Logistics in Heywood. Alan and Julie took us up to the meeting room to a do quick presentation and Q&A. Following the presentation, we were taken on a tour of the warehouse, accompanied the driver on a short trip around the industrial estate and we were given a short tutorial on how a fork lift operates. After lunch, Julie challenged the learners to design an Archbold truck using all their creative talents. Let’s just say we had some very bright and colourful trucks on show!
