The learners had a fantastic opportunity to visit the National Football Museum and for some take their first train journey into Manchester City Centre. We departed school at 08:50am and caught the train from Rochdale station into Manchester Victoria. Once we departed the train we made our way over to a local café to get a light breakfast and a warm drink. We continued on to the National Football Museum where their staff had prepared a tour of the museum for us. The learners were amazed by the memorabilia and the history of the various clubs they support (predominantly City or United). Before and after lunch the learners were able to take part in the museum’s Football + interactive facility where they could test their footballing skills. It was a fantastic day out and the learners really engaged with the experience.
